Two‑Component Polyurethane Waterproof Coating Construction Technology

1. Construction Preparation

Material preparation: Verify model of component A & B, confirm mixing ratio. Prepare stirrer, trowel, brush and measuring tools.
Substrate condition: Solid, flat and dry substrate; free of dust, oil and loose particles. Repair cracks and holes with repair mortar. Interface treatment for damp substrate. Standing water on surface is forbidden.
Ambient condition: Construction temperature: 5℃‑35℃. Do not apply in rainy or dewy weather.

2. Detail Reinforcement Treatment

Apply extra reinforcement layer for weak waterproof positions: internal‑external corners, pipe roots, floor drains, construction joints and deformation joints. Apply 1‑2 thin coats of mixed coating. Extra‑layer width ≥250mm on each side. Start main‑area construction after reinforcement layer dries.

3. Proportioning & Mixing

Weigh component A and component B strictly according to weight ratio and pour into mixing bucket. Electrically stir for 3‑5 minutes until uniform color without lumps or particles.

Important: Mixed material has limited pot‑life. Discard gelled mixture. Do not dilute with water.

4. Multi‑layer Main‑surface Application

Mainly trowel‑applied, assisted by brushing. Apply thin coats repeatedly; heavy single‑coat is prohibited. Apply first thin coat. Next coat can only be started after previous coat is dry. Brush in cross directions to reach designed film thickness.

5. Curing

Natural curing for each coat. Ensure full curing after whole application. Protect film from rain, ponding, treading and mechanical damage during curing.

6. Protective Layer Construction

Apply cement‑mortar protective layer after full curing and inspection acceptance.

Notice: Polyurethane film is not UV‑resistant. Direct exposure is not allowed. Protective covering is required for exposed areas.

7. Notes

Accurate A‑B mixing ratio is critical. Wrong ratio causes sticky uncured film or brittle film.
Keep good ventilation on site, avoid long‑term inhalation of volatile gas.
Clean tools with special cleaner before material curing.
